June,
July and August Ministry Report
Dear
Precious Mom Judy
How are you doing? How is your
ministry? How is your health? I have not heard from you for a long
time. We have been praying you constantly. I believe every thing is
fine with you.
I am so glad once again as I am with you
with June July and August monthly report. This has been so long. You
are so important to me and I really appreciate you for praying for
us during the trip. Here I start my reports, beginning from sports
ministry.
Inter Church Football:
Inter Church football were held in Chyasal with 28 Church teams. Our
church became the first. We are planning to gather good Christian
players from all around Nepal and take them to National Football
League so that everyone can hear about Church team and glorify God.
Church Boys United Football Foundation Private Limited
works
with Local Church to organize sports events in Nepal. We use sports
to reach youth with gospel. We have seen many youth come to Christ
through this act.
Pokhara Tour: Church Boys United went to Pokhara
and participated local tournament. Pokhara is second largest city in
Nepal. We distributed tracts and gave away bibles. Church Boys
United is probably the first soccer team in Nepal that preaches the
gospel through the medium of sports. We became the first in the
tournament and received trophies and prizes. Praise God.
2nd Madhumalla Gospel Challenge Cup 2009: was held
in Madhumalla from 6-15 August with 10 best teams in east Nepal.
17000 audiences were gathered. We distributed
7000
gospel tracts; more than 70 Nepali Bibles were given to politicians,
social workers and local churches. They took my live interview in
radios where I spoke them saying that 'purpose of organizing this
tournament is to make known the name of Jesus Christ'. East Nepal
senior Pastor N D Thulung also gave speech on the meaning of
'gospel'. The word 'Gospel' brought big curiosity among the people
who were not familiar with. Prior to the game at the press meeting,
many journalists asked me many
question
regarding the 'a' church community participating in such a huge
task, and off course about the meaning of the gospel. Gospel
message has been heard by people in east Nepal, from the mountain
zone and as far as from Sikkim in India. All glory to God. Next time
we would like to gather as many as people up to 30000 and preach the
gospel to them. This game brought very positive impacrt on people
and political parties there.
Bible School: After the tournament we organize one
week bible school in Urlabari where 14 students attended. They told
us they were so glad to come in the training because they learned so
many things there, in a very simple way and in effective way. They
said they would teach their believers what they
learn in the training, which made us so happy. They requested us to
continue another training again. Let's pray for them, they want to
learn so many things about God so that they can do ministry and
disciple other. I believe disciple making is the only a way to win
Nepal for Jesus. If we make them disciple then they will also make
disciple. I asked them how many of you would like to join in
outreach phase, and most of them raised their hands. We will run
another bible school in Manahari in central Nepal from 23 November.
Please pray for this.
Outreach in Dasami: After the Bible School, we took
17 members gospel outreach team to Dasami which is in the mountain.
It is 5 hours in Jeep and 4 hours walk. Ladies they cooked food.
Morning we had class and afternoon we went to the outreach together.
There were some children above 8 also in the class.. At first I
hesitate to accept them as a students, but suddenly I thought that
Muslim they
teach
their children Koran to defend their religion, Bhuddhist they keep
little children to make them monk, Hindu they send their small kids
to read Sanskrit so that they can do Hindu rituals, then why can't
we as a Christian teach our children about God? Yes we should teach
our children about our faith and about our God. We should remember
our heritage and our responsibility to rise up God fearing children.
I taught them family life that would help them grow in faith.
We went down to one government school.
There were many school children, teachers and villagers. We proclaim
them Jesus through song, through tracts and through word. We would
like to thank teachers of the school who allowed us to use their
class time to speak about
Jesus. It is our duty to speak forth the word and its Holy Spirit
work to convert the heart of the people. God can't work alone, He
needs us.
In one house during the gospel song old
lady brought a basket full of Nashpati (like pears) and our team was
full. She thought that we are Dhausi Bhailo team. Dhausi Bhailo is
played house to house during Hindu's greatest festival Tihar and
eats food fruits and collects money. In this place children watched
us sing surprisingly.
In another house, a family gave us boiled
Potatoes and Lime after the singing. We prayed for that family and
returned. I sense in my spirit that there will many who would call
upon the
name
of the Lord in these mountains in future. So please pray for the
people living in Dasami and around. At evening every day up to 7:30
pm, (because they go to bed around 8) we use to gather in Dasami
Bazar. One orders tea, another pickups guitar, another sings a
chorus and another dance and eventually people gathers and one
preaches the gospel. This was our stretegy. This routine became a
habit for us. We did this till we return. Just imagine if we bring
film project here then how many would gather? We are going to do
this. There is nothing impossible with our God. Like in the days of
Caleb, God has already given us the land, lets have faith, lets go
and possess it. Lets don't just stay here. My people they don't ask
salary, they just ask bus fare and food. If we do this they will do
the
work. On our way back home through the jungles, we picked up atleast
3 blood sucking worms from each one of our feet. WOOHOOOO
After the outreach I went to meet my
parents. I asked them what their need is? They said something they
would light up the house. Now they use kerosene lamp. Just to charge
a cell phone battery they need to come down three hours walking. I
asked them what is the price of the solar power. They said 68000
Rupees. I was afraid. I pray the Lord would provide what they need.
I am going to close now but before I do
that I would like to share my very very important prayer request.
Please continue to pray for me and write me email even though you do
not hear much from me, it is duo to I am in remote place with no
computer. I am praying for
small
latest portable high capacity laptop where I can carry even though I
go to mountain. So that I can be in contact with you. Some time
prayers are so important to share but no way to send. Yesterday, I
bought Nepal telecom Sky phone post-paid cdma r-uim card which
provides internet in laptop. If I have laptop, I can access emails
anywhere in Nepal no matter how far I go in the mountain.
Prayers
